Collaborative Newcastle is an innovative new partnership which aims to improve the health, wealth and wellbeing of everyone in Newcastle. Through new ways of closer joint working between some of the City’s largest organisations – including the hospitals, council, GPs, care homes and the mental health trust – Collaborative Newcastle aims to reduce inequality and provide better opportunities for all.
Fusion was appointed by Collaborative Newcastle (a partnership between Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Newcastle City Council, Newcastle Gateshead NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, working closely with the Primary Care Network and voluntary sector) to provide strategic communications and design expertise to support the launch of, and ongoing profile raising for, this groundbreaking initiative.
Working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders, Fusion managed all aspects of developing and delivering a comprehensive communications strategy, including a media launch which secured strong print and online coverage, as well as extensive social media engagement.
The brief included all aspects of PR, from media relations, case study development and key messaging to copywriting and stakeholder engagement, whilst also integrating branding, creative design, website development and social media graphics. In addition, we worked closely with an in-house NHS videographer to storyboard, develop and deliver rich video content to help tell the Collaborative Newcastle story.
