Northumbria secured a place in the hotly contested
final of the prestigious University of the Year award
in the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards 2017.
Fusion was appointed to support the University’s in-house communications and marketing team in 2016 to raise awareness and build a positive reputation amongst key target audiences for Newcastle Business School.
We sought to tell the story of Newcastle Business School at Northumbria University to differentiate it from local and national competition, and highlight the fact it is a key player and a significant contender in the higher education market whether you are a student looking for the best career launch pad or a business seeking a competitive edge.
Through a targeted media relations-led campaign as an effective means of reaching a geographically diverse range of target audiences, we have helped the University to demonstrate to prospective students how Northumbria University and Newcastle Business School will positively influence their career, allow them to develop the next big business opportunity and meet their long-term aspirations by choosing to study there.
We also target key business and industry sectors where research, executive education and business support strengths lie. A highlight was helping Northumbria secure a place in the hotly contested final of the prestigious University of the Year award in the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards 2017. We also supported the relocation and launch of The Business Clinic, an iconic state-of-the-art city centre campus on New Bridge Street. Through the Business Clinic, more than 300 students have provided free professional consulting on marketing, strategy, planning, finance and logistics to SMEs, multi-national corporations, local authorities, social enterprises, charities and not-for-profit organisations.
